How This Pallet Calculator Works

This tool calculates how many cartons fit on a pallet by testing carton orientation, layer count, stack height, and gross pallet weight. It reports full pallets, remaining cases on the final pallet, cube utilization, and the limiting constraint so a warehouse planner can quickly sanity-check a load plan.

What is cube utilization?

Cube utilization is the percentage of the available pallet volume occupied by cartons. It helps compare carton sizes and stacking patterns.

Does the calculator include pallet weight?

Yes. The max gross weight check includes the pallet tare value plus the weight of all cartons on the pallet.

Can cases be rotated?

Yes. The calculator compares straight, rotated, and mixed-row patterns when the best-fit strategy is selected.
